Missing Lincoln County boy found
November 20, 2008
Relief and joy in Lincoln County
Missouri after a missing three year old is found
safe and sound. It took hundreds of searchers seven
hours to find Colby Paasch. The three year old boy
wandered away from his backyard with the family dog.
"It was a feeling like no other I've
ever had." Brian Towsley
Brian Towsley is a volunteer with the
Missouri technical rescue unit's Region "C" Canine
Unit. And they get an "A" for effort because it was
their team that found the boy... In the cold... In
the dark... In the woods... Thanks to the nose and
grit of a German Shepherd dog named "Rebel."
"He went down about 30 to 40 yards
and I called him and he wouldn't come so we went a
little bit further down and started calling out
again and that is when we heard the kid holler out
pretty good hey I am down here." Brian Towsley
Technical Rescue Unit
Brian and others on his team thought
they heard the boy earlier. But they were unable to
tell exactly where he was until Rebel took control.
First ... they spotted the boy's dog... then the
boy.
"He kept saying take me to my mom and
dad take me back to my mom and dad and he kept
trying to remember what his address was and I said
little buddy... don't worry about your address we
know exactly where you live."
At first the K-9 team doubted they
were on the right track because the terrain was so
rough and hilly they didn't think a three year old
could get through it.
But this one did... and made it back
home... all thanks to a rebel... with cause.
Rebel and Brian are clients of Animal
Fitness Center where they regularly get adjustments
and use Standard Process ® supplements provided by
Dr. Ava Frick in Union Missouri.

We have a Dachshund
named Wendy
Her markings are tan and
black
When she was five she
hurt her back
That’s when we realized
Her back legs were
paralyzed
We were told we would
have to put her to sleep
That’s when we both
begun to weep
We were beside ourselves
and didn’t know what to do
Wanted to find someone
to make her new
A chiropractor friend
told us about Dr. Ava Frick
Wendy liked her so much,
she gave her a lick
After treatments of
supplements, micro-electrical current and the
underwater treadmill
She began to walk without taking a pill
Wendy feels so good she
plays with her toys
Dr. Frick has given her
years to enjoy
So Wendy now walks all
over the place
Now we both have big
smiles on our face
So no more crying no
more tears
Dr. Ava gave us Wendy
for a few more years
Thanks for everything

Our dog and friend Puppy, could not hold her head up
let alone walk when we came to see Dr. Frick. We
brought her in a wagon. All the time from last
winter (late November or early December) we believed
she would have to put down.
But
NO….quite the contrary. All the adjustments,
supplements, correct diagnosis, exercise, positive
thoughts from everyone--all combined with our
commitment to help her get better—Puppy walks, swims
and plays occasionally now. We love her so much and
truly appreciate your knowledge and dedication to
helping our animals.
P.S. My daughters vet recommended Dr. Frick all the
way from LA California.
Thanks Again,
Mendy & Tammy McClelland

Hi Dr. Frick, I
am back in Florida now and I wanted to thank you
again for all your help making my two dogs feel
great after the long drive from Florida to Purina
Farms, as well as throughout the Border Collie
Nationals competition. As you can see, they did
quite well. You'll be seeing us again when Purina
Farms hosts the event again in 2010. Rachel

First to review 2007: Katie was #4 and
Cooper was #17 Sheltie for AKC herding trials.
Katie was the 21st Sheltie to earn
the AKC Herding Championship.
Now
for their 2008
accomplishments:
In January, Cooper finished his AHBA
Herding Trail Championship, making him the 13th
Sheltie to earn that title. In April, we went to
ASSA national specialty in Greely, CO. Katie
won Advanced Ducks and was RHIT Ducks while
Cooper won Advanced Sheep. In August, Cooper
was HIT at the GSD Club of Western Kentucky AKC
herding trail and now has 6 points and his major win
for his AKC Herding Championship.
Katie has a brag that you do not hear very
often. She finished her AKC MJP3 title in November.
(During 2007 only 55 dogs of all breeds earned the
MJP3 title.) Cooper continues to add to his
MACH points and double Qs.
Our
most exciting brag for the year 2008 is that they
both finished their AKC Advanced Course B Ducks
titles. The was the 12th time that they
both earned an AKC title on the same weekend.
Thanks for all your hard
work and
help.

Murray, an Irish Wolfhound, came to see Dr. Frick
because traditional veterinary medicine had run out
of options for his urinary incontinence. I am a
veterinary technician and work for a veterinarian
and we had tried many, many things and performed a
thorough work up without success. Murray responded
extremely well to the Alpha-Stim machine and we no
longer have any urine accidents. It is remarkable!

Dr.
Frick always spends time with Murray and me and
takes time to explain things thoroughly. I am
grateful and excited that such good quality
alternative medical care is available.

Elka was suffering from sever arthritis in both hind
legs. She could hardly get up a flight of stairs and
worse, cried going down the stairs. Her regular vet
gave me a newsletter from Dr. Frick, what a good
send. I called for an appointment in May and two
months later my Elka was back to playing and going
up and down stairs like a champ. When we came in, I
thought that Elka wouldn’t see her 8th
birthday, now she is a whole new dog. She is back to
instigating her brother and making him look like an
idiot. I can not say enough about how wonderful Dr.
Frick and her staff are. Dr. Frick is truly an angel
from heaven. Thank You!

A Story from
Jake:
One day I was out doing my rounds
monitoring my territory. As I was crossing
the street I was struck by something and
felt intense pain as I was hurled into the
air. The next thing I remember I was laying
in a doctor’s office with all these strange
people hovering over me. I had an
unbearable pain in my hips and couldn’t’
move my back legs. I also had a ferocious
headache and I couldn’t see out of my left
eye. The room was spinning and I was
frightened, but these people seemed nice and
were trying to help me so I calmed down.
A couple of days
later they brought me to another doctor. I
still hurt really badly but I knew they were
trying to help; the only problem was that
they all looked so sad when they looked at
me. Then a great thing happened! My
parents came to visit me, but they had such
sadness in their eyes. They pet me and
cried and told me goodbye. I still don’t
understand why, but I never saw them again.
After a few more
days at the doctor, a nice lady came and
took me to her house. She would pet me and
rub me all over. It felt very soothing.
Then she put little things on my ears and
would touch me with little probe-like things
that created a good feeling in me. When she
was with me she would talk to me and soothe
me. When she was gone, there was always
real nice soft music and the scent of
lavender in the air I was always calm. She
fed me special vitamins and put these
magnets in my bed.
I could drag
myself out of my crate and go potty on a mat
and slowly I began to get stronger and could
drag myself farther, but I would have to
rest. Then little by little I began to walk
a little bit, kind of wobbly-like.
The lady began
taking me to see a doctor lady and at first
I was scared to see her because it always
hurt me when anyone but my lady touched me.
After a while I noticed that after I went to
the doctor lady I would feel a little bit
better. This was especially after the time
I slipped and hurt my shoulder real bad.
They said it was dislocated. Well, that
doctor lady made it better! After a while I
started walking better and my lady would
take me to the doctor’s place and put me in
the water with her. I could walk and she
would help my feet because I couldn’t
control my left rear leg very well at all.
Slowly I began to walk and feel better and
better.
Now, I am happy
to say that I can run, jump and swim with my
new family. I am seven years old and love
my nice lady and her family of dogs as
though I have lived here my whole life. As
a matter of fact, I owe my life to her with
the awesome help of the doctor lady called
Dr. Frick.
Jake is a 7 year
old Jack Russell Terrier who had a broken
spine and blind eye as the result of being
struck by a truck. His owners declined any
treatment but I felt he deserved a chance so
I took him and along with my compassion and
diligence, my skills partnered with Dr. Ava,
he is now able to run, jump, swim and go on
trail rides. He is a very happy dog and
acts as though he has been a part of our
family his whole life.
When he was
brought to me, he could not walk. I used
the Alpha-Stim on him daily along with a few
chiropractic adjustments, magnetic and
acupressure therapy as well as aroma and
music therapy. |

Slowly he
began dragging himself about, getting
stronger and stronger, and then I began
bringing him to Dr. Ava for the underwater
treadmill therapy. At first, he was so
delicate and painful I had to carry him into
the office as he lay in his little bed. His
muscles were so atrophied it was just skin
and bones on his little legs. He had
therapy 2-3 times a week and little by
little he regained his strength. In the
water he could move in a way that he could
not move on the ground. Now, he is strong
and active and happy thanks to my devotion
and the expertise of Dr. Ava. |
